Before - Stock factory-style hubcaps -
Owner: Mr. Joe Allio

After - Chrysler Classic Wire Wheels -
14 X 6" diameter with Coker wide whitewalls - Owner: Mr. Joe
Allio

- April 26, 2009:
"Hi Dave and Linda, I received the wheels this morning
and ran them down to the tire store for mounting. Holy
Wow, what a difference. The guys at the store commented
on the superior quality of your product and wanted to
know where I bought them. I used to get a thumbs up from
people now there yelling compliments out their car
windows and on the street. Best investment I ever made
on the car. And how in the heck did you get them here so
fast!
- Last year I got 5
trophies with the car. This year I think I'm gonna' have
to build another shelf or two to hold them all.
- I have a friend who has
a 56 Buick Roadmaster convertible (very rare) and always
parks next to me at the shows and takes our class. This
year his a$$ is mine. I'm gonna' send him home in shame.
Thanks."
- Mr. Joe Allio
- Michigan State
- Thank you for the
photographs and the kind email Joe. Your car looks
amazing. What a transformation with those wheels and
tires. Photos like these are strong evidence what
wonders these wire wheels can work on special cars like
yours. We are big MoPar fans around here and we have
always loved these particular cars, especially after
seeing Christine! Enjoy!

Motorspot and Truespoke wheels on display. We hope to do
more shows this year as well. We thank Mr. Kolan for all of
his help and those wire wheel fans that stopped by. We look

February 10,
2009. Motorspot, Inc. customer, Mr. Mark Gill was kind
enough to send us this gorgeous photograph of his late-model
2002 Thunderbird with our wire wheels and blackwall tires.
Below is the kind note that Mark sent us:
-
"Here is a
picture of my treasured 2002 Thunderbird which proudly wears
a set of Zenith wire wheels from Motorspot. Based on the
"retro" design of the iconic Thunderbird, coupled with the
Thunderbird Blue colour reminiscent of the 50's, I knew that
the Zeniths would complement the car perfectly as it harkens
back to those good old days, when the Kelsey Hayes wheels
were the best around. Thank you, Dave and Linda, for
providing a high quality product for such a special
automobile." Mr. Mark Gill.

California, famed Hall of Fame Kustomizer, Rick Dore
displayed this spectacular Lincoln MK II. Considered one of
America's best kustomizers, Rick chooses Motorspot, Inc. for
his wire wheels and tires.
-
Surprisingly,
this elegant Spyder with dual head fairings, uses our
off-the-shelf Chrysler wire wheels without modification.
When we say our wheels are show-quality, we mean it. You
have to see this car in person to believe how well-built it
is.

-
February 6,
2009. Also at the Grand Nationals was Motorspot customer,
Kevin McCray of Los Angeles, California. This show quality
1955 Mercury Montclair features nearly every option you
could put on a Merc'.

Mr. McCray
purchased his 15 X 6 Mercury wheels from Motorspot, Inc.
with 3-bladed spinners and chrome, plain emblems. You have

-
January 23,
2009 - Customer Matt Garrett just acquired this amazing
1966 Cadillac Eldorado and immediately equipped it with our
wire wheels and tires.
-
We asked Matt
about his wheels and tires and here is what he told us:
-
The tires are
American Classic 235/75/15, 1.6" WW.
-
The '66 car
requires no modification at all on the rear fender skirt.
The 59/60 models do, but that is not a major modification.
57-58, no mods. The mods on the 59/60 takes me about 5 mins
per fender skirt on the 59-60 and requires a small
grinder/cutter. I use a 3" air grinder on these. The cut
is permanant but does not really effect anything original on
these cars. Now I am not 100% certain on the 61-63 as I do
not mess with those cars but I think they would require a
little cut on the skirt too as the 60, but 64 has no skirt,
so they are ok and no mods for this package. 65-66 Eldorado,
Fleetwood, Coupe and all RWD models require no mods at all
on this package. Its a direct perfect bolt on but its also
taking all the clearance possible to use. On all these cars
in the back, you cannot jack up by the diff to put these
wheels on. You must jack by the frame to extend the diff to
allow the ability to get the tire in the wheel well. They
are that tight, but they will not rub when installed!
-
Now you could
not put a larger tire on the car with these wires. As you
know these have a more positive offset than factory wheels,
thus they get close to the outside, thus the clearace
issues. This more positive offset is what makes these
wheels look nice and changes the looks of these cars for the
better. Positive offsets create a larger stance and less
wheel well opening, thus making the cars look smaller and
sleeker.
-
Hope this helps
and if your customers need any advice, feel free to send to
my web site
http://www.GM-Classics.com I do not mind answering
emails on these cars and who knows, they may want to buy one
of my cars too!

January 19,
2009. No car posted on our website has gotten more
attention in recent memory than Mr. Jim Miller's 1956
Mercury Crown Montclair. The perfect, "what-if" car if we
ever saw one. Naturally, Jim wanted the perfect look for his
very special Mercury and he ordered our special Mercury wire
wheels. Jim tells us, "The wheels are working out great.
They really make the car regal and people love them".
-
The car is not a
factory prototype or one-off. It may have been made for a
company executive but Jim isn't sure. There is a picture of
one in the book, "55 Years of Mercury" from a collection on
the east coast. Jim was told that his car may have been
built by a dealer in St. Louis for the head mechanic for
Bill Stroppe Racing.
-
This Mercury was
originally built at the St. Louis plant and was seen at a
Crown Victoria Meet in St. Louis in the '90's.
-
Mr. Miller
purchased this car at auction in August of 2006 in Santa
Barbara, California. It turned out the car needed a lot of
work. Jim chose Ed Cook of Camarillo, California to restore
the car. The chrome was restored by King of Trim in North
Hollywood, California and Mike Tackett of Reno, Nevada
rebuilt the engine. Among other engine upgrades is a rare
Offenhouser Tri-Power manifold and valve covers. 3 Stromberg
2-barrel carbs are used for induction and a Mallory
electronic ignition provides the sparks.
-
The owner
relates that his car rides really smooth with great
acceleration, returning just under 20 MPG.
-
The rare Mercury
gets a lot of reaction when Jim shows her, mostly smiles he
reports. At car shows people come back 4 or 5 times, not
believing their eyes. Jim says these two Ford and Mercury
colors were never used together on any Merc or Ford. The
Crown Montclair has been a show-winner right out of the box,
taking first place and Best of Show at the Southern
California Mustang Owner's Car Show at the Van Nuys Airport
in the summer of 2008. Matt Stone, executive editor of Motor
Trend Magazine selected this car as one of the 10 Cool Cars
at the 2008 Fabulous Fords Forever shindig at Knott's Berry
Farm in Buena Park, California.
-
Mr. Miller of
Ventura, California concludes by telling us, "I have been
very fortunate to be awarded recognition at almost every
event I have attended to date. This is amazing, fun,
exciting, and I am blessed to have such a timeless piece of
art to drive."
